I have landed myself 2 internships with and Starworks in their PR departments in London. I am really excited to work with them both but 3 months of interning, unpaid is going to require some serious budgeting and determination.

My General Tasks when working this summer include;

  • Scan and mount all coverage from the papers and magazines and pass to the team for logging

  • Receive post and hand out to office

  • Assist in the checking-in of all samples received throughout the day. These must then be hung/placed neatly back in the showroom

  • Chase up any outstanding returns

  • Docket and bike samples to press

  • Assist in the arrival and return of samples

  • File magazines/supplements/papers on a weekly basis

  • Any admin projects given by the Press team (for example, updating database)

  • Keep the building tidy, including kitchen, showroom and office

  • Keep on top of housekeeping and make sure groceries are replenished where necessary

  • To take direction from the Brand and Creative teams

  • To assist in the prepping of looks for the styling team, including garment care such as steaming etc.

  • Collate and input 'styled with' data for publication on the website

  • To ensure that the styling wardrobe is organised to maximise efficiency on shoots

  • Assisting in the preparation of events including London Fashion Week

I will be blogging from London throughout the Summer but for now i am off to enjoy some Andalusian sunshine, cocktails, and seafood. There will be lots of photos to follow...

I will be back in 2 weeks, but for the time being, i will be tweeting HERE @elliecollister

Sunday Moodboard

Dress like Fearne
Cotton with striking Dune sandals

maverick Fearne Cotton has been spotted stepping out on the town in a pair of
Dune sandals, proving
that the high street is a wise destination for affordable style and cutting
edge designs. Fearne’s colourful pair of raffia wedges – a style named ‘Banksy’
after the elusive street artist – are apparently her new favourite pair, after
she was sent them as a gift by top designer Olivia Rubin.

Rubin, formerly a designer at Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, launched her
own label in 2007. She is just one of several design luminaries who have teamed
up with the trendsetting shoe label to produce a range of stunning footwear.
For summer sandals from Dune, shopping online is even simpler than
trawling the high street, with a fab range of styles to choose from at

allure of block colour styles continues, and Dune have an absolutely stunning
pair of block coloured platforms in luxurious suede to tickle your fancy. In
oceanic shades of vivid blue, green and purple, these shoes are definitely a
style that you will want to build your outfit around.

the working week, when heels are just out of the question, try the stylish
Chanel-inspired toe cap ballerina pumps, in chic monochrome with a girly bow at
the toe. For weekends in the sun, Dune offer a wide range of raffia and fabric
wedges for a twist on Fearne’s laid-back look. A real stand-out pair are the
Dune ‘Gevina Caged Vamp Mega Wedges’, which feature a striking mosaic-like
print on the platform, and simple tan straps at the toe and ankle.

platform really is a winner come summer, with the unique combination of fashion
appeal and comfort: they support your feet unlike any other type of heel. But
when it comes to that evening out, sometimes nothing will do but a sparkly
court shoe.

Arruba court shoe, crafted in metallic snakeskin-look leather and with a
mid-height stiletto heel, will be a staple shoe for any summer wardrobe. And if
you want to save your feet for going out, try online shopping at for
a great collection of Dune boots and more.

I Want To Ride My Bicycle

With the current drama over transport in London during the Olympics this summer, a bike seems the only reliable way to get from A to B. Who's with me?

Model of my Moment

Leomie Anderson

I have been meaning to post about Leomie, from Premier Model Agency for a while, i met her at the Roksanda Ilincic casting and fell in love with her Huarchi Nike Trainers and her legs that go to infinity and beyond.

You may recognise Leomie from featuring in the TV programme 'The Model Agency' on Channel 4 or simply from campaigns (most recently ASOS), i think this girl kicks ass and is not only a pretty face, she was the only model i remembered that day and was full of smiles (surprising as i expect that week was full of castings and no sleep for her).

This is a feature post that i hope to continue now and again as new and fresh-faced models come on the scene.

I love Leomie's off-duty look. she certainly has some style.
